Madi’s mood dramatically increases when she’s had a good coffee (how Melbournian of her) and extra points if there is baked goods involved. She is the type of person to cross the street to give a dog a pat/cuddle while saying “who’s a good boy” and sing and dance around her house to any sort of musical number.
Madi graduated from RMIT in Melbourne and completed a regional placement in Bendigo, she has made the change out west for the sunny WA weather and stunning beaches all in close proximity.
While completing her degree Madi has worked as a gymnastics coach and judge in Melbourne teaching children with a variety of ages and abilities in both competitive and recreational environments. Previously a competitive gymnast herself, she suffered a serious arm injury which involved numerous surgeries and a lengthy rehab program involving an osteopath she was able to return to sport and began thinking about a potential career in allied health. She danced competitively in high school which required many hours in the studio and a treatment room and became fascinated with how the body moved and performed.
Since then she has tried to combine her knowledge in osteopathy and gymnastics/dancing. Whether you’re an athlete or a desk worker Madi aims to treat holistically and educate patients on their body to help them go about life in a pain free manner. Madi has also completed further osteopathic education in myofascial cupping and dry needling.
Outside of the clinic you can find Madi out and about making the most of WA sunny weather, going to the gym or an adult dance/gymnastics class, searching for the prettiest cocktail on the menu and enjoying some delicious food or baking something to bring into the clinic.
Madi will be available at Melville Osteopathy from early March 2022.
