WHAT IS NATUROPATHY?
Naturopathy is a holistic health care system that incorporates diet, lifestyle, exercise and other therapies to improve and maintain good health and help the body heal. A good naturopath helps empower patients to proactively establish and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Naturopathy blends a range of natural healing modalities in the prevention, treatment and management of any illnesses (for example massage, homeopathy, nutritional medicine and many more).
How can Nathropathy Help?
Naturopathic support is commonly sought in the treatment of a wide range of conditions such as:
- Poor digestion or gut health
- Insomnia, Depression and anxiety
- Allergies- food and environmental based.
- Promoting heart health
- Arthritis and Osteoporosis
- Colds and flues
- Respiratory disorders….
…..And many more.
In an initial consult, we’ll ask you about presenting problems, diet, lifestyle, emotional and mental health along with some questions about your family background and environment. Any recent blood test results will be considered (so please bring along your results) along with current medications and supplements. Our resident naturopath Cristina Galvez is also an experienced massage therapist and may perform a hands on assessment of any stresses or imbalances in the body.
There are many different modalities we’ll draw upon to offer treatment and devise a health plan with you. We’ll work with you on a plan of action that may incorporate dietary supplements and changes, exercise and lifestyle habits. Cristina is also trained in massage and is currently completing training in acupuncture and traditional chinese medicine. She may refer you to other modalities if they seem like a good fit for your condition.
